In mid-June we held a startup fair for the Münsterland for the first time. Today we look back on the event with great pride!
Seven months before the big day we got into concrete planning. A lot of time – which we also needed. We met weekly as a team and discussed each progress. The goal: the biggest startup fair in Münster.
On Wednesday (June 21, 2023) the day finally arrived. All preparations were completed and we could get started.
The startups attracted visitors with various activities and tastings at their booths. It was a great opportunity to strike up casual conversations with the founders and get exclusive insights into their founding stories. The atmosphere was inspiring and motivating.
The fair featured almost 40 booths. Startups, venture capital firms, unicorns, incubators, and accelerators were part of this year’s event. The Founders Foundation organized a Founders Matching for us, and exciting workshops covered everything from idea generation to financing strategies. In addition, one‑on‑one meetings provided another chance to get to know individual startups even better.
The cold drinks from Liba provided refreshment in the warm weather, and the food trucks from Al Hayat and the Student Services offered a boost. Much of this was made possible thanks to the financial support from Sparkasse Münsterland Ost.
The Venture Club and especially the Startup Contacts team would like to thank all participants and visitors warmly. Without you, Startup Contacts couldn’t have taken place. That was just the beginning, and we’re already looking forward to the years ahead!
We’re proud to be part of the startup ecosystem and will continue to work toward fostering growth and collaboration between startups and students.
