Getting to know Münster's startup scene.

Special rates for founding‑related events.

Workshops and talks on the topic of “Entrepreneurship.”

Club work in six different teams.

Exchange with like‑minded people interested in founding.

Multi‑day tour to a startup hub.
In addition to our external events such as Startup Contacts, Climate Hack and Female Founders Forum, club members have access to regular exclusive events, workshops, and socials.
During the semester, the association meets once a week to discuss current topics.
After a joint meeting, we move into a work phase where the teams can continue working on their projects.
We often host experienced founders who present their startup ideas to us.
After the pitch, the founders are available for questions and a group discussion. As a VCM founder, you can of course also take the stage yourself.
Workshops on entrepreneurship topics are held several times each semester.
The workshops are led by experienced professionals and cover topics such as idea generation, market research, landing pages, prototyping, inbound marketing, and pitch decks.
We spend several days visiting cities and talk with founders of well-known local startups.
The Startup Tour takes place once each semester. So far, tours have been held in cities such as Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, and Barcelona.
We host socials monthly to strengthen community within the association.
At our socials, you can meet other members and share your passions.
At the start of each semester, a new member event is held to give newcomers a rocket launch.
Here, our new members have the chance to visit a startup in Münster and get to know each other.
At the beginning of each semester, we welcome new members into the association. Here's how it works:
During the info evening, you'll get to know the association and our activities and can ask us any questions.
Once the application period opens, you apply via our online form, indicating which team you'd like to join.
After you apply, we’ll invite you to a meet‑and‑greet. Then we look forward to welcoming you to VCM.
Expect 2–4 hours per week, about one hour for the Jour Fixe on Monday evenings.
All club activities are organized by our members. You can get involved in one of the following teams.
Social Media & Offline Marketing, planning the marketing strategy
Financial planning and oversight of the association's legal direction
Website administration, management of email marketing, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure
Organizing socials and the Startup Tour, fostering the member community
Financial negotiations with sponsors and nurturing long‑term partnerships
Organization of Female Founders Friday, Let’s Talk and other external events
No. You don’t need to have a startup idea to become a member. After all, our motto is: “Inspire and empower entrepreneurship!”
No. VCM is the right place to go for anyone interested in entrepreneurship and startups, and you don’t have to be a founder. But if you’ve already founded something or are thinking about starting one, we’re happy to support you and have our community by your side.
No. While we’re a student initiative, you don’t have to be a student to join. We welcome members from all backgrounds – even those outside the university.
First and foremost, you should simply have an interest in the topic founding and Startups as well. Additionally, you’ll need to set aside some time each week for the Jour Fixe and the independent work in your team. We don’t require any specific experience; what matters more is your interest and active engagement that you want to bring to us.
First of all, you’re under no obligation. However, you should be aware that our members regularly get actively involved in club activities. This gives you the advantage of being able to launch new projects while expanding your know-how. All of this is only possible if you bring the same level of commitment, responsibility, and passion to the club.
Our weekly Jour Fixe takes place on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. Updates and general information about club activities are shared, and then we continue working in the individual teams.
We mainly offer three types of membership: active member, alumni, or founder. You start with us as an active member or founder. After each semester, you have the option to confirm, change, or end your membership type during the semester registration.
