On Friday, January 19, 2024, the Female Founders Friday took place for the third time at POHA House Münster. The evening was filled with inspiring stories, motivating insights, and an open atmosphere that created space for discussions and questions. Together with numerous participants, we gained insights into the fascinating founding stories of our guests Alica Klemm, Kathrin Fesenmayer, and Paula Menninghaus. Founding at a young age was front and center.
The goal of the Female Founders evenings is to put female founders in the spotlight, view entrepreneurship holistically, and narrow the gender gap in the startup scene. Additionally, we want to create a safe space where all questions are welcome and everyone can feel comfortable.
Alica and Kathrin founded in 2019 Herbsom while completing their master's in Münster. Their goal is to offer effective natural cosmetics that meet individual skin needs. After more than a year of intensive collaboration with experts in dermatology, pharmacy, and chemistry, they are now presenting their innovative products, which are based on natural active ingredients and care for the skin optimally.
Paula Menninghaus, co‑founder of Strong Partners, leads a young company in Münster that redefines fitness—not just physically, but also mentally and socially. Strong Partners' motivation is to view sport as a community experience that strengthens not only the body but also the mind. Since its founding in August 2016, the company has offered tailored solutions in corporate health management and workplace fitness to promote employee well‑being and boost productivity.
After the personal founding experiences and an exciting panel discussion, the evening concluded in a relaxed atmosphere at POHA House with cheese sticks from Cibaria, banana bread from Glowkitchen and drinks from Liba . Hannah Herrmann photographed the evening. The generous provision contributed significantly to the event’s success.
