Startup Tour to Munich

NewsStartup Tour3 min read

From May 14 to 17, 2025 we spent four exciting days in Munich – a city that, like few others, blends tradition, technology, and entrepreneurial spirit. During this time we got to dive deep into the Munich startup scene, meet inspiring founders, and get a behind‑the‑scenes look at innovative companies. Here’s our recap of the trip:

May 14: Arrival, first impressions and visit to Tacto

In the morning we took the train to Munich. After arriving we went straight to a group lunch, then explored the city in beautiful weather.

In the afternoon we visited Tacto, a fast‑growing startup that develops a supply‑chain software for the industrial mid‑size sector . The team showed us how they use data‑driven processes and artificial intelligence to bring transparency to complex supply chains.

In the evening we enjoyed a group dinner at a typical Munich brewery, then unwound the day with a relaxed walk along the Isar. The perfect start to our tour!

May 15: Innovation, mobility and health

The second day started with an exciting meeting at Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM).This meeting came together rather spontaneously. On the way to Munich, our P&C Board Sandro de Vries called Managing Director Franz Waltenberger and asked for a meeting. Franz gave us insight into the ecosystem of research, entrepreneurship and early‑stage financing that has produced many successful Munich startups.

Next we visited FINN, a startup that reimagines driving. With its flexible car‑subscription model, FINN makes mobility easy, sustainable and fully digital. CEO Maximilian Wühr told us about the vision to make climate‑neutral mobility mass‑adoptable, and how they balance growth and sustainability.

In the evening we headed to Adon, a HealthTech startup that focuses on digital hormone therapy for modern men . In an open and honest conversation the founders shared their motivation to make healthcare more accessible and personalized.

May 16: Machines, maintenance and emission‑free flying

The third day was all about technical innovation. In the morning we visited Remberg, the so‑called XRM for machines and maintenance. The startup develops software solutions that let companies manage their machine fleets digitally and organize service processes efficiently.

In the afternoon a visit to Vaeridion was on the agenda – a visionary Munich startup working on emission‑free short‑haul flying . The team gave us exclusive insight into the development of their electric aircraft and explained how they aim to combine aviation and sustainability.

May 17: Farewell and departure

The Munich Startup Tour showed us how diverse innovation can be – from industrial software to sustainable mobility, digital health, and aviation technology. A journey that inspired us both professionally and personally. 🚀
