Liefergrün is a technology platform for convenient and sustainable delivery in e‑commerce. While you can already know when your pizza or weekly groceries will arrive, the same hasn't been true for packages from online shops—yet.

The startup wants to change that: end customers should help decide when and how their package arrives. Delivery is 100% emission‑free. The team's rule: avoid first, compensate later.

Liefergrün was founded in 2020 in Münster, with a second office in Berlin. Its business model is the emission‑free last‑mile (same‑day and next‑day delivery) for e‑commerce and local retail.

Milestones

  • December 2020: Robin Wingenbach, Max and Niklas Tauch founded Liefergrün GmbH in Münster.
  • April 2021: ten employees, five months after founding.
  • December 2021: 20 employees and a new office.
  • February 2022: Seed round of €3 million, led by Speedinvest.
  • September 2022: Series A of €12 million, led by eCAPITAL, with Speedinvest, Norrsken VC and a German family office. Revenue had more than tenfold growth since the start of the year, and the team counted over 50 employees. New major customers such as Shop Apotheke and a partnership with Mercedes Van Rental for electric vans in Berlin were added.
  • November 2022: Launch in Vienna, the first location in Austria.
