Farina studied business administration in Hamburg and Sydney and began her entrepreneurial journey in Australia with the venture builder Rocket Internet. After contributing at Groupon, Airtasker and Sydney’s largest co‑working space Tank Stream Labs, Farina moved back to Germany in 2015. Selfapy was founded by her together with psychologists Nora Blum and Kati Bermbach in 2016 and is now Germany’s leading online therapy provider for people dealing with mental health challenges such as depression or burnout. In 2018, Selfapy won the SevenVentures Pitch Day as the most innovative start‑up and secured an advertising budget of over €3 million.
